SACHI is the Human-Computer Interaction group at the University of St Andrews, Scotland’s first university. We carry out research in the areas of information visualization and human computer interaction. Miguel Nacenta and Uta Hinrichs developed FatFonts in collaboration with Sheelagh Carpendale, from the University of Calgary in Canada. Miguel and Uta are interested in developing new ways of representing data so that people can understand the world in better and simpler ways.
Proceedings from the sales of these maps are reinvested in advancing research, which includes improving the FatFonts techniques, making them more widely available, and supporting students interested in working with us. For further inquiries or bespoke maps or data representations contact Miguel by e-mail.
